One of the most romantic Wellington Wedding Venues in the Wellington region – only 30 minutes from the Wellington CBD on the outskirts of Upper Hutt City in the Hutt Valley.

Wallaceville House Wedding Receptions offer you:

  • WINTER SPECIAL – If you get married between Easter and Labour weekend you are eligible for our Winter Special, which lowers the price to $139 per head.
    This is for our Gold evening package and includes alcohol, food, venue hire, flowers, chair covers and more! Please contact us for more information.
  • A complete one stop shop – Wallaceville House is the perfect wedding venue. You can hold your wedding ceremony, reception and have your photographs taken without having to travel off site. We also provide quality accommodation for your wedding guests.
  • The choice of two wedding reception venues – The beautiful upstairs Ballroom which caters for weddings of 50 to 130 guests and for smaller numbers, the downstairs Jepson Room which opens up to a gorgeous outdoor area and features a large open fireplace.
  • Exclusive use of Wallaceville House during your contracted time, which creates a wonderful atmosphere for you and your guests.
  • A choice of indoor and outdoor garden wedding ceremony areas available. If an outdoor garden wedding ceremony is selected, we can change to indoors if weather is inclement.
  • Wedding Accommodation on site – No need for your guests to travel elsewhere for their accommodation. We have 16 quality motel/hotel style rooms which can be held exclusively for your guests. This is great for extending your special time together.
  • No wedding venue hire charge – this is included in the per head price for catering.
  • Onsite Chef – All menus are designed and prepared by our team of in-house experienced chefs.
  • Multi cultural weddings are a specialty – We work with you to ensure traditions and customs are honoured. We are more than happy to include traditional dishes within our menu – either supplied by you or prepared by our in-house team of chefs.

You can choose from the following:

  • Evening Weddings – You have the choice of holding your wedding ceremony here or off-site. This is followed by pre-dinner drinks and hors d’oeuvres in the garden or in our downstairs lounge. A delicious 3 course buffet will follow with dancing until midnight. The standard contracted time for an evening wedding is 7 hours but this can be extended on request.
  • Luncheon Weddings – with the ceremony in the grounds and pre-dinner drinks and hors d’oeuvres under sun umbrellas. Even a string quartet under the cherry tree. A superb wedding reception follows.
  • Cocktail Weddings where guests mingle in the gardens sipping champagne, with a compliment of finger food and canapes.
  • Custom Weddings – if you are looking for something a little different from our standard packages, feel free to come and talk to us.
